After a few hours in the office and a meeting with CK (aka the boss) I'm off to Chicago to serve as a hostess at a Valpo reception entertaining Valpo friends attending the ELCA Assembly. I represented Valpo on Sunday at the ELCA's Jubilee. Valpo had a booth.
It is SO hot! We have refused to install our AC units at home...until this morning. Waking up sweaty is gross. We only installed one so we have a place to retreat. Being 4 blocks from Lake Michigan has made it bearable until this week. There is no relief from the heat in sight.

- September 14, 2000 was my first day as Guild Director - and it was a board meeting! Over the years, I have met the most wonderful people and learned a lot!
